Tyumen net-knitting factory was found on the 4th of April, 1945 on the basis of the former industrial case of Autotractor electric equipment plant.

The reason for organization the factory was the necessity of net materials approach to the regions of Siberia and Far East in order to satisfy requirement in fishing nets.

On the 15th of March, 1946 the first set of production was made.

Input in operation of the spinning and twisting technology in 1961 allowed the factory to launch net production from self-made strings. In regard with this event in 1962 the enterprise was renamed to Tyumen spinning and net-knitting factory.

The current assortment of made and sold products made from kapron, polythene and polypropylene includes the following :

• Strings;
• Cords;
• Ropes;
• Fishing-nets;
• Net plates;
• Sport equipment;
• Finished fishing tools.

In 1996 the enterprise received the new name: Joint Stock Company «TYUMENSETESNAST».

The museum Tyumen spinning and net-knitting factory operates on the territory of the enterprise. It represents various photo made from the time of starting the manufacturing activity and tens years later. The photos exposed in the museum make it possible to follow the way the factory was developing, public actions taken place there and equipment of the enterprise. Awards are stored in our museum, gifts and the certificates of honor received for special achievements of Tyumensetesnast?s collective. The visitors’ book of «responses and wishes» with the first record dated by 1964 is kept in the museum as well.

The production made is being used in various spheres of the national economy, such as fishing industry, agricultural industry, construction industry, transportation, sport, tourism, etc.

During the 55-year-presence in fishing community JSC «Tyumensetesnast»has been successfully realizing its versatile potential, based on strong partnership relations with more than 250 unions if Russian fishing industry.
